Damien Arnold is a graduate of SUNY Buffalo State, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance Economics. During his time at SUNY, he was president of the Caribbean Student Organization in addition to successfully completing internships with Morgan Stanley Investment Firm and New York City’s Department of Juvenile Justice.

Damien began his career with CWA Local 1180 in February 2003 as an intern in the Accounting unit of the Benefits Fund. Later that year, he was hired as the full-time bookkeeper responsible for accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and payroll. As the Department grew and his role expanded, he was later appointed to the position of Finance Controller in 2012. Inspired to continue both academic and professional growth, Damien enrolled in graduate school and earned his Master’s Degree in Urban Studies at CUNY Queens College.

After 15 years of loyalty and service to Local 1180, Damien was promoted in January 2018 to his current position as Fund Administrator. His current responsibilities include managing the Benefits Department staff, ensuring members’ benefits are administered according to plan description, reviewing and recommending benefit plan improvements, liaison between vendors and the Board of Trustees, in addition to various other managerial duties.
